After NIR2007 in Umeå, it is time to head East - NIR2009 is going to be held at the Amari 
Watergate Hotel (www.amari.com/watergate/) situated in the heart of Bangkok, the capital of Thailand. The conference will be held from November 7th to 16th 2009; short courses will be held on November 7th and 8th while the scientific program will run from November 9th until 13th. Two post-conference tours will be organised over the period November 13th until November 16.
NIR2009 will be co-organized by Kasetsart University, Thailand and Asian NIR Consortium. The chairman of the organizing committee is Mr. Vichai Haruthaithanasan (Director of Kasetsart Agricultural and Agro-Industrial Product Improvement Institute: KAPI, Kasetsart University, Thailand). The vice-chairs are Dr. Mutsuo Iwamoto (Chairman of Asian NIR Consortium) and Ms. Warunee Thanapase (Vice-director of KAPI, Kasetsart University, Thailand).
